The topics were spot on! These were exactly what we needed! They seem so intuitive but I never understood how they influenced and built on each other to make everyone so much better.
OK I literally JUST used the Pomodoro method for the first time to help with processing applications for a position that opened on my team. Usually, I would schedule and reschedule time to review apps, have 10 tabs open all day, forget my impressions of the talent pool, and consequently delay outreach to candidates and the next steps that lead to getting vital help added to our team. With one full round of the Pomodoro method, I was able to review and note the talent pool, identify top candidates, block time for interviews, draft the email invite to candidates, and print out the apps for later use. All without feeling like I was "letting the side down" with my team. I noticed my inbox didn't turn into a dumpster fire (because I also have implemented filters), and I don't feel like that was the one big thing I would be able to accomplish with my brain today... I "ate the frog" with a tedious task before getting started on the Pomodoro method, and I was able to tell my boss who was "checking in" a few minutes ago that processing financials was next on my calendar without having to look! Since it was on my radar and I have time to complete it today, this question didn't stress me out! In fact, I feel rather badass.
